French Food Festival to be held in Dubai

First consumer edition of Apéritif à la française set to delight UAE residents with a typical French gastronomic experience

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – 12th January 2015.  After the remarkable success of the annual Apéritif à la française event, which was solely dedicated to food professionals, the first consumer edition of the event will be held on the 31st of January 2015 at the Westin Mina Seyahi amphitheater from 12:00 PM onwards and will be open for the general public.

This event is organized by the International Food & Lifestyle Marketing Group, SOPEXA, and is supported by the French Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry to promote the French gastronomy and Art de vivre in the UAE.

According to Edwina Salvatori, Marketing Manager, SOPEXA Middle East, “We are delighted to introduce the consumer edition of Apéritif à la française in Dubai. This event is for all foodies interested in becoming familiar with the French culture, or willing to learn more about it. It is also for anyone wishing to experience a typical French gastronomic experience.”

The Apéritif à la française event is held in over 10 major capital cities every year, including Dubai, New-York, Hong-Kong, Sao Paulo, Paris, Tokyo to name a few, gathering tens of thousands of people and offering them the opportunity to discover the French art de vivre in outstanding festive and convivial environments.

In a cheerful French festival atmosphere, visitors will get the opportunity to indulge in a wide variety of French products, participate in live cooking activities with professional chefs, discover new brands and spend some quality time with friends and family enjoying some of the finest French cheese while listening to live music. A dedicated area for children with educational workshops and a play area will also be available.
